Our Mission

Shelf & Story is a shop for people who keep things.

We stock model kits, die-cast vehicles, collectible figures, hand-embroidered pins, notebooks for logging a collection, and the cases, risers and archival boxes that keep all of it in good condition. It is a small, deliberately narrow range. We would rather carry six things we can describe accurately than six hundred we cannot.

How we describe what we sell

Every specification on this site — a scale, a part count, a page weight, a set of dimensions — is taken from the manufacturer's own published information. Where a maker does not publish a figure, we leave it out rather than estimate it. You will occasionally see a product page here with less detail than a competitor's. That is deliberate: the missing line is one we could not verify.

We sell new items only, in the manufacturer's own packaging. We do not deal in used, graded or reboxed stock.

Delivery and returns

• Delivery is free everywhere in the United Kingdom, with no minimum spend.
• We handle orders in 1–2 business days, and delivery takes a further 2–4 — 3–6 business days in total.
• You have 14 days to change your mind. A prepaid return label is included in every parcel, so returning something costs you nothing.
• We accept exchanges and charge no restocking fee. Refunds are processed within 5 business days of your return reaching us.

These are the same terms set out in our refund policy and shipping policy. If you ever find a number on this site that disagrees with one of those pages, the policy is the one that binds us — and we would like to know about it.
